more information

Marion boasts a dynamic history and is named for the Revolutionary War hero, General Francis Marion (the Swamp Fox). The rows of ancient oaks, crepe myrtles and dogwoods makes it as charming as an old Southern garden. Many of the homes date to the turn of the 20th Century and are truly lovely.

Marion is situated 22 miles east of Florence, 45 miles west of the Alantic Ocean, hour and a half from the capital city of Columbia and only two hours from historic Charleston. Marion is 15 miles from Francis Marion University and 35 miles from Coastal Carolina University.
